I had some more bad luck on the weekend. I was driving my 2000 Honda Civic home from work and going about 120KPH there was a bunch of blue smoke and it quit. Luckily I was able to pull over and had my cell phone so I called a tow truck. It looks like there are TWO holes in the engine block!! The dealership people were very shocked. Looks like I need a new car. Here you can see the holes:

Can't tell from the pic what Area that is, But something wanted out bad.
Did it start backfiring or did you hear any ticking or thumping before it quit?

No ticking or thumping (music might have been too loud).
It didn't backfire...just quit. What you are looking at is the engine block!
Was the break near the rear or front of the motor?
If it was near the front: Good chance the timing gear came apart and busted the block.
If it was near the rear: Could be a piston rod came apart and did the damage.

HI Buddy...
It was at the front of the block...but the engine is turned in a civic (cylinders line up with drive shaft).
I guess that means it's on the engine's side (which is at front of car).
Thanks man...yes bad luck indeed. Having a heck of a time getting a new car....day 1 I sent my credit app...day 2 i called..they claimed ot have not received it, day 3 i called and salesman was off...so here I am on day 4! This place is cheaper than other dealerships and has been recommended to me.
Oh well...I'll get one soon enough!

Havent seen much in the way of updates from you!
I pick up my car tonight! 2007 Honda Civic Dx-G Sedan. Can't wait. It took them 2 weeks to be able to find and sell me one they had on the lot so I was pretty choked. I finally had to deal with the owner to get things happening.
Don't get too far with that R3!!!!!
