I am soooo frustrated now!!
A few weeks ago I tried attaching batteries directly to my foot motors to see if they would work..and they did not. Nothing but problems..wheel slipping, things rubbing, and squealing etc etc. I bbit the bullet and redesigned a better foot motor mount that was supposed to fit inside my foot shell. After struggling with problem after problem I finally had one drive mounted and seemingly working..then I tried to push it into my shell....and it broke apart.
I now have to rebuild the shell a 3rd or 4th time..soooo sick of this! If a miracle happens and it actually ends up working (after I reglue, bondo, repaint, etc) then I have to go through all this again for the second foot.
I don't have time for setbacks like this!!! NOT having fun!

Have you any pics of what you have so far?
If you check earlier on my blog, You can see where I failed the 1st time. I messed up and the wheels were too close to the ground. Although I had planned on shimming the assy. I was worried about clearing bumps and deep carpet.
Keep trying and you'll get it right.

I think what I have should work...just have to rebuild he foot. Second one should go better...\
Will try to get some pics. The only thing I'm not too thrilled about is gluing the shell to the ears on my drive...

Fett....not for sale. :p Not sure if you have any Fett helmets...but if you go to The Dented Helmet..there are plans for making a Helmet using styrene. Thats how I made mine..and for the top I used a batting helmet.

LOL....I was kidding about Boba Fett!! I love it though. Someday I will venture into that type of thing. Thanks for the welcome. I didnt disappear, just been on hiatus for a while.
