After putting on the red pinstripes last night I figured I'd give the whole thing a coat of clear gloss to seal it up!
Not sure if it's the type of paint, or the fact that the garage is -20 but I RUINED the paint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid clear gloss. I guess I have to let it dry and re-assess! SWEAR!!!!!!!!!! EXPLATIVE!!!!!!!!! CURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Yikes!!! Well you can consider it just good practice...just kidding. I really feel for your "do-over". Fortunatley I plan to wait a few more months before I have that worry. It get pretty cold here in Sweden as well this time of the year. I plan to follow brenda's painting schedule as well...paint and wait.....paint and wait...
CRAP!!!!
I hate when that happens.
That's why I gave up pn the Krider paint.
My project bombed today also.
The lights I made for my wife turned into a NIGHTMARE!!!
Sorry about your Paint.
Calvin
Nightmare?? What happened? I'm asking because I was thinking about having one of my droids with your christmas lights idea to see if anyone notices the difference...
Thomas
Uh oh!! What happened with your lights???
The lights work wonderful, But there was too much excess wire for her clear dome.
So, I tried to shorten the wire by soldering them to a pc board and they work Great.
But, I'm not that good at soldering and had to leave a little space between each light and this made the board too big.
I won't be able to get 2 logics close enough to fit in the dome.
Anyway, 2 days work lost.

Yikes...these things can be challenging!!!
Yea...yikes...as time approaches I see 1001 different ways things can go wrong. The first electrical and resin parts are arriving on the 27 of december so I hope I don't have too many "blue" sundays ;-)
-Thomas (the other one)
Things WILL go wrong. Thats where your motivation has to be stronger!!!
Just don't do dumb things like I did and mix paint brands..
;)
